Founded as International Festival Inteatro in 1977, at present the organization works during all the year in the sectors of Theatre and Dance, with activities of production, professional specialization and hospitality. Innovation of theatrical languages, fusion among the arts, international collaborations, research and appreciation for new talents are the mission of Inteatro.

The organization's most well-known and appreciated activity, both in Italy and abroad, is still the summer Festival, arrived to its XXXI edition. From the beginning, the Festival has given hospitality to more of 700 companies from all over the world. It has been a showcase of young talents and successful performers who pursue the way of artistic research and cultural innovation. The Inteatro Festival 2008 starts on Saturday 28th of June and will end on Saturday 5th July.

During one late summer week the cultural life of Stockholm explodes in more than 400 shows performed by 250 artist and groups from all over the globe. The festival area this year stretches from Sergels torg, the big square in front of the central "Kulturhuset", to the entrance of the Royal Dramatic Theatre - a total distance of 1000 meters. There will be free admission to 99% of the programme.
